Pure water window cleaning has been around for a while now, but how did window cleaning get to where it is today?
Originally cleaning windows at height was a precarious business. High level window cleaners used to hang out of windows or even worse climb out on ledges to clean them.
This saw many deaths and calls for safer working practices. Triple extension ladders were available, but they were heavy and not always reliable.
As with hanging / climbing out of windows, ladder window cleaners would often fall whilst working often ending in death.
Harnesses were one solution with anchor points fixed around areas of high level buildings.
This was a big step forward in the window cleaning world. Saving many lives.
Pure water window cleaning – evolution
In the early 1990’s the first pure water window cleaning units had started to appear throughout the UK.
Mineral free water needed to be produced by the operator, either in a building or via a van mounted system.
Water travels through a multi stage process. Through filters and a reverse osmosis system. Removing impurities found in our tapwater.
Total dissolved solid are removed. Pure water is then collected in a large tank. From 250 litres up to a large 1000 litre tank for larger vehicles.
When arriving at a customers property our tanks are full of mineral free water, ready to clean your windows, solar panels and conservatories.
How does pure water reach your windows?
Part of our pure water window cleaning system are our specialist poles. Lightweight carbon fibre poles that can extend up to 70 ft enable effective water delivery.
Our poles are centre fed, they have specialist soft brushes with inner jets mounted that deliver our pure water to every part of your window.
Firstly the area of glass and frames are scrubbed. Spending additional time on areas that have suffered from bird dirt.
Then slowly and carefully the area is rinsed down. Water is left to dry.
Because the water is in a pure state, it tries to get back to its original impure state, absorbing dirt and dust in the process.
When the glass dries your windows will be left beautifully clean, with no soil attracting detergent residues left behind.
Safely cleaning large areas of glass from the ground. Enabling some clients to finally have clean windows after years in the dark!
At first clients were concerned about leaving the water on the window, some even reaching out and trying to dry them with dusters!
You can rest assured that our water quality is regularly tested with very low TDS readings to ensure a great job every time.
